Winnipeg Jets training camp health updates from head coach Rick Bowness

There were two main groups on day 9 of Jets training camp which comprised 41 of the 50 players left in Winnipeg. There were nine guys not listed

F: Bongiovanni, Zhilkin, Chibrikov, Perfetti, Barlow and Nikkanen.
D: Schmidt and Capobianco
G: Thomas Milic

Also Mason Appleton, who was listed with the early group, didn’t skate. And Nikolaj Ehlers wore a yellow, non-contact jersey when he skated with the morning group.

Here is the update from Jets head coach Rick Bowness.

Appleton:
“Let’s start with Apple. He showed up today with a lower-body injury so we kept him off the ice. He would be day-to-day.”

Perfetti:
“Felt fine today. Not 100% so we are taking a little precaution.”

Schmidt:
“Same thing. He’s dealing with a lower-body thing. He’s probably not quite ready to practice with the full group yet.”

Ehlers:
“It will be good when we get him in the right colours. He couldn’t do half the drills out there because of the contact drills so at least we got him out, we were able to work with him and get his conditioning back. Arnie gave him a good skate at the end.”

Zhilkin & Chibrikov:
“They’re all on the IR”

Cabobianco:
“He’s dealing with a lower-body injury.”

Barlow:
“He’s skating, trying to get some strength and some conditioning back but he’s not going to be able to practice with us for a couple of days.”
