Winnipeg Jets trade Wyatt Bongiovanni to the Senators for future considerations

A trade after trade deadline day sees Winnipeg send Wyatt Bongiovanni to Ottawa for future considerations. Today is the AHL trade/loan deadline day as per Patrick Williams who advised that a player on an AHL roster is eligible to be traded or loaned within the league until 2 PM CDT.

I’m a bit surprised by this move as the Michigan product is well liked and has been a good fit in Manitoba with the Moose.  He had been in and out of the Manitoba lineup, most recently after dealing with a bruised knee.

In 34 games this season he has eight goals and seven assists including some really nice goals (here, here, here and here).

He signed a two-year ELC with the Jets organization out of college back in 2022.
