Winnipeg Jets trade Nic Petan to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Par Lindholm

The Jets have finally freed Nic Petan who has been unable to crack the Winnipeg lineup.  He came into this season dealing with the incredibly difficult passing of his father and only played 13 games for Winnipeg this season with zero goals and two assists.  In total the Jets 2nd round pick from 2013 played 108 NHL games for this franchise as well as 108 games for the Moose of the AHL.

Coming back to the Jets from the Leafs is Par Lindholm who is a Swedish centre playing in his first season in pro hockey here in North America (plenty of pro experience playing in Sweden).
