Winnipeg Jets trade Jordan Samuels-Thomas to Buffalo Sabres

Late this evening the Jets made a trade with the Buffalo Sabres.  They sent Jordan Samuels-Thomas, a 7th round pick (203rd overall) of the Atlanta Thrashers at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, for a conditional 7th round pick of Buffalo in the 2015 draft.

Jordan Samuels-Thomas spent last season with Quinnipiac University of the NCAA (ECAC) playing in 34 games and finishing with 13 goals and 16 assists.

According to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun the Sabres have until Aug. 15 to sign Samuels-Thomas or he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

If you’d like a bit more information on the player the Jets just traded Hockey’s Future breaks down his game here:  Jordan Samuels-Thomas.
