Winnipeg Jets to host Heritage Classic at IG Field in 2016

Jets fans will finally be able to experience the thrill (and cold) of an outdoor hockey game at IG Field as Mark Chipman,  chairman of True North Sports & Entertainment confirmed to Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press yesterday at the Board of Governors meetings in California.

Now the speculation turns to the jersey to be worn and who would make the best opponent.  Let us know your thoughts on both.

Back in March of this year when Gary wrote about the Jets landing a Heritage Classic it was mentioned that the game would likely be in late February or early March.  Of course it is still likely going to be pretty, pretty, pretty cold in the Peg’ whenever they host this game so be sure to enter our #ICGWG & #IC5050 contests so you can keep warm with an IC Toque.
