Winnipeg Jets take Drew Stafford off IR; re-assign Quinton Howden to Moose

Following a successful morning skate today Drew Stafford will make his return to the Jets lineup as Winnipeg has removed him from injured reserve.  This means that Quinton Howden will be re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose and my guess is he has already boarded a plane back to the Peg’ so he can get into the lineup for tonight’s game at home against the Wild.  Stafford was off to a slow start to begin this season with zero goals and one assist in the first six games before he was injured on October 25th against Dallas.  He has missed 15 games.

Quinton Howden played in five games since being recalled on November 12th by the Jets and has no points in those contests.  In his 11 games for the Moose he has seven goals and two assists.  His scoring touch will be welcomed by a Manitoba squad that has played the last few games with only 11 forwards.
