Winnipeg Jets sign Wyatt Bongiovanni out of Quinnipiac University to a two-year ELC

The Jets are playing in Tampa tonight and the Moose are in action right now in Winnipeg and the local NHL club announced they had signed Michigan product and captain of Quinnipiac University Wyatt Bongiovanni to a two-year entry level contract.

He will start his pro career on an amateur tryout agreement with the Moose of the AHL. I suspect there may be some familiarity with Bongiovanni who played four years in the ECAC. Same division as Morgan Barron/Jeff Malott (Cornell) and Cole Maier (Union) played in.

The left shot centre had 16 goals and 18 assists in 42 games this season.
