Winnipeg Jets sign Patrice Cormier to a one year, two-way contract

In addition to adding Matt Fraser, Winnipeg announced that they have also signed Patrice Cormier to a one year deal.

The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with forwards Patrice Cormier and Matt Fraser on one-year, two-way deals, both worth an annual average value of $650,000.

Cormier, 25, has been a member of the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets organization for the past five seasons. Last year, Cormier played one game for the Jets and has five points (1g, 4a) in 50 career NHL games. The native of Moncton, NB had 21 points (12g, 9a) in 47 games for St. John’s last season and has a career total of 96 points (48g, 48a) in 210 AHL games. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round 54th  overall at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
