Winnipeg Jets sign Parker Ford out of Providence College

Tis the time for signing college free agents and that’s just what the Winnipeg Jets have done signing Parker Ford out of Providence College to a new NHL deal.

Ford is 22 years old from Rhode Island and has spent the last four seasons in Providence College. The centre put up 12 goals and 14 assists in 37 games this season.

I believe the last undrafted player the Jets signed out of Providence was Brandon Tanev which worked out pretty well for both the team and player. Interestingly Ford and Tanev had similar numbers playing for the Friars.

The Jets announce it is a two-year ELC with an AAV of $925,000. He will head to the Moose on an ATO.
