Jets Release:
The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have agreed to terms with defenceman Julien Brouillette on a one-year, two way contract worth $600,000.
Brouillette, 27, played in 10 games with the Washington Capitals last season and recorded two points (1G, 1A). He also appeared in 51 AHL games with the Hershey Bears where he earned 20 points (10G, 10A) and 22 penalty minutes. The St. Espirit, PQ native played in his first NHL game versus Winnipeg last season, suiting up for Washington on Feb. 6/14 in a 4-2 win for the Capitals. He recorded an assist in the game for his first NHL point. In his career, Brouillette has played in 260 AHL games with Providence, Hartford, Charlotte, Lake Erie, and Hershey, collecting a total of 70 points (22G, 48A) and 105 penalty minutes. He’s also played 210 ECHL games with Columbia, Charlotte, Greenville, and Reading compiling 85 points (24G, 61A) and 153 penalty minutes.
