Winnipeg Jets sign Jeffrey Viel to a one-year deal

TSN is reporting the Jets have signed Jeffrey Viel to a one-year deal. The undrafted Quebec product has spent the last five seasons in the San Jose Sharks organization.

He only played four games for the Sharks in 2022-23 spending most of his time with the Barracuda. In 60 games with the Sharks AHL club he had 15 goals and 16 assists.

His most time spent in the NHL was when the 2021-22 season when he got into 34 games (3G 2a) with the Sharks.

It’s a 775K deal as per TSN.
