Winnipeg Jets sign Isaak Phillips to a two-year, two-way contract

In the middle of January this past season the Jets and Blackhawks organizations made a deal which saw Winnipeg send smooth-skating defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin (2021 3rd) for the more veteran blueliner Isaak Phillips who had 56 NHL games under his belt.

Today, the Jets announced they have signed Phillip to a two-year, two-way contract. It is a $812,500 AAV at the NHL level. He’s the first RFA knocked off the list for GM Kevin Cheveldayoff.
