Fleury’s contract as $775,000/$400,000. $450,000 guaranteed as per Dreger while he had Shaw’s deal is $775,000/$350,000. $425,000 guaranteed.
Fleury is a 7th overall pick of the Hurricanes from 2014 who is a left-shot defenceman who has spent most of his time in the pros at the NHL level with the Hurricanes, Ducks, Kraken and Lightning. The Saskatchewan product has played 268 games in the NHL with 10 goals and 27 assists. After playing in Charlotte with the Checkers after junior between 2016-17 and 2018-19. He did play five games last season for the Syracuse Crunch.
Folks who watch the Moose will know Shaw well as the Albertan played mainly for the Iowa Wild (197 games where he had 51 goals and 88 assists) and the Minnesota Wild (82 games where he had eight goals and 12 assists).
