Winnipeg Jets sign goalie David Rittich to a one-year contract

With Eric Comrie off to Buffalo earlier today, the Jets were in need of a backup netminder for Connor Hellebuyck. Accordingly, the team announced that they have signed goalie David Rittich, who played last season with the Nashville Predators.

It is a one-year deal worth $900,000.00.

Rittich played in 17 games for Nashville last season, winning six, losing four and having four more losses in OT/SO. He also got into one post-season game for the Preds.

He previously had two successful seasons in Calgary, in 2018-19 and 2019-20 when he put up 27 and 24 win seasons, respectively.
