Winnipeg Jets sign Dominic Toninato to a two-year, two-way contract

The Jets announced today that they have signed veteran forward Dominic Toninato to a two-year, two-way deal that will start in the 2023-24 season. The AAV is $775,000. The minors portion of the salary isn’t yet known although he made $400,000.00 this season in the minors with the Moose.

Toninato was set to become a UFA after this year.

The 29 year old Minnesotan joined the Jets in 2020-21 during what became the covid shortened year where he spent a lot of time on the taxi squad. He played 77 games for the Jets last season but just five games with the big club this year.

He has had an impact in the AHL with the Moose scoring 19 goals and adding 16 assists in 50 games this season.
