Winnipeg Jets sign 2018 5th rounder Declan Chisholm to a three-year ELC

Today was the deadline for the Jets to get three of their young defencemen signed and Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports has announced that the Jets have agreed to terms with left-shot defenceman Declan Chisholm on his first professional contract.

The details as per CapFriendly:

3 year ELC
$815,000 cap hit / $825,000 AAV

2020-21: $700,000 Base + $75,000 SB
2021-22: $750,000 Base + $85,000 SB + $15,000 PB*
2022-23: $750,000 Base + $85,000 SB + $15,000 PB*

*GP bonus

The Jets have now confirmed the deal.

Chisholm, who was in the his fourth season in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes, put up 69 points (13 goals, 56 assists) in 59 games.

We will likely see Chisholm wearing a Manitoba Moose jersey next season (provided the AHL 2020-21 season actually happens).
