Winnipeg Jets show emotion late, not urgency, in 1–0 loss to St. Louis Blues

The Jets lose a game they could ill afford to lose and fall 15-16-2.

Notable:

Jonathan Toews played in game 1100 of his NHL career tonight. He’s played the 7th most NHL games by a Manitoban. Set to pass Butch Goring (1107) and Bobby Clarke (1144) this season.

Winnipeg were outshot 9-1 by St. Louis (and Blues hit two posts) through the first 11 minutes of the hockey game but when you have Connor Hellebuyck in net it tends to help with onslaughts.

Late in the game the Jets had a Gustav Nyquist to Luke Schenn chance shorthanded which would have broken Jets Twitter if they had tied it. They did not.

Multi Point Game:

None.
