Winnipeg Jets roll to third straight win defeating Vancouver Canucks 3-1 maintaining top spot in entire NHL

Jets pick up their 51st win of the season as they defeat the Canucks 3-1 this afternoon in Winnipeg.

Notable:

Connor Hellebuyck led the Jets out for warm-up this afternoon as they get set to face the Canucks. He passes Bryan Little for 7th on the All-Time Jets 2.0 games played list with 562.

Fifth straight sellout for the Jets as it was a full house in Winnipeg for the matinee against the Canucks.

After missing about 2-3 offsides in a short timespan the Jets thought the Canucks were guilty again when they opened the scoring in the 1st but it was ruled a good goal.

Connor Hellebuyck has to learn to keep that five-hole better protected. (This is intended as a joke. See this video).

Jets fans needed something to get them out of their seats. So this guy did just that. Kyle Connor’s 38th goal of the season which tied the game.

Mason Appleton going right to the front of the net and is rewarded with his 10th goal of the game to make it 2-1 for the Jets. Nikolaj Ehlers with his 39th assist which tied his career high which he set back in 2016-17.

This goal by Cole Perfetti is perhaps his nicest as a pro. What a move and what a shot. And that might be his biggest post-goal celebration.

Kyle Connor got his second point of the game to get to 90 points on the season. Second time in his career he gets to the 90 point mark (he had 93 in 79 games in 2021-22). He remains on pace to become first Jets 2.0 player to 100 points.

And with the win Connor Hellebuyck gets his 43rd win which is one shy of his career/franchise record.
