Winnipeg Jets Rick Bowness provides an update on Nate Schmidt (out 4-6 weeks with UBI)

The Jets placed Nate Schmidt on IR after a big hit by Tanner Jeannot in the game in Winnipeg on Thursday. Today in Vancouver head coach Rick Bowness provided an update on the affable defenceman via Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press:

“is out 4-6 weeks with an upper body injury suffered Thursday, according to Rick Bowness. He’s cleared concussion protocol.”

Another tough blow to Winnipeg. Although it will be an opportunity for 2019 1st rounder Ville Heinola.

I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
