The Jets placed Nate Schmidt on IR after a big hit by Tanner Jeannot in the game in Winnipeg on Thursday. Today in Vancouver head coach Rick Bowness provided an update on the affable defenceman via Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press:
“is out 4-6 weeks with an upper body injury suffered Thursday, according to Rick Bowness. He’s cleared concussion protocol.”
