Those are the words of Jets head coach Rick Bowness who spoke today after practice inside the Matt Frost Media Centre when asked for an update on Ville Heinola and Rasmus Kupari.
You’ll recall we saw them doing light contact on Wednesday at hockey for all centre as Heinola recovers from ankle surgery which he had on October 9th and Kupari a shoulder injury suffered about a month ago.
The expectation was that Heinola likely wasn’t going to be an option until early in 2024 and even then would likely be heading to the Moose to get his conditioning back and Kupari was expected out 4-7 weeks and he’s just entered that fourth week since the game against the Devils when he suffered the injury.
