Checking the NHL media site and both Isaak Phillips and Elias Salomonsson are no longer listed on the Jets roster now that the team is on their Olympic break. The expectations the team will announce that they have been loaned back to the Moose of the AHL. Phillips appeared in two games for Winnipeg while Salomonsson has played in a total of 13 games, but nine recently and four during his initial recall.

This news isn’t particularly surprising given what Jets head coach Scott Arniel said in response to a question posed to him yesterday following morning skate:
“We’ll talk about it after. Obviously we don’t want those two kids sitting. That’s probably what we’re going to do. There’s no need for those two to sit for three weeks.”
Moose are in Texas this weekend where they play Friday and Saturday. Then they have the AHL All-Star break but that’s during the week so it doesn’t really impact game play. They are thereafter home to Calgary (14th & 16th) and Iowa (21st & 22nd).
