The Jets picked up a big bounce back 6-3 win over their rival Wild as the power play remained red-hot (2/4) for the third straight game. Winnipeg has now won four of five.

Notable:
Gabriel Vilardi went with the Kristian Vesalainen haircut. It’s gone. All gone.
Mason Appleton was honoured for playing in his 300th NHL game yesterday in Calgary. 251 with the Jets 49 with the Kraken.
Speaking of Gabriel Vilardi he was honoured for getting his 100th NHL point which he did yesterday in Calgary.
And maybe the shaved head thing works as Vilardi struck on the red-hot Winnipeg power play (fifth PP goal in last eight chances).
Kitchener sticks together. Logan Stanley went after Jake Middleton for a tilt after the Wild defender hits Mark Scheifele right in the numbers although he seemed concerned for 55 after he went down.
Just 1:54 into the middle frame Kyle Connor scored his 20th goal of the season which is the 7th straight season he has hit that mark to make it 3-0 for the home team.
With four seconds left in a penalty to Vilardi (which he wasn’t happy with) the Wild got on the board as former Jets draft pick Declan Chisholm found Marco Rossi to get the visitors on the board with the man advantage.
After 40 minutes the Wild were down 3-1 but had controlled the middle frame.
The home team woke up in the 3rd as they got another power play goal courtesy of Gabriel Vilardi (his second of the game) to make it a 4-1 game and then :58 seconds later Sean Monahan scored his fifth goal as a Jet (5 in last 3 games) to make it a 5-1 game.
Wild weren’t going away though as they scored their second power play goal of the game to cut the Jets lead to 5-2. And then less than two minutes later Rossi got his second of the game to make it a 5-3 game.
But a Nino Niederreiter empty netter put an end to this game.
Laurent Brossoit was excellent in the win.
Multipoint Game:
Gabriel Vilardi 2G 1A
Kyle Connor 1G 2A
Nino Niederreiter 1G 1A
Josh Morrissey 2A
Dylan DeMelo 2A
Adam Lowry 2A
