Winnipeg Jets recall prospect Brayden Yager from Lethbridge

Much like the Jets did with Nikolaj Ehlers during their 2015 run when they recalled their 2014 1st rounder from junior to give him a chance to be around the team it appears they are gonna do the same with 2023 1st rounder Brayden Yager as the team announced his recall this morning.

Yager’s Hurricanes team in the WHL just got eliminated by the Tigers in the Eastern Conference Finals. In 16 playoff games with Lethbridge he had eight goals and six assists for 14 points. Here are a sampling of some of his playoff results:

We shall see how he is used. If he’s up with the main team or spends time with the taxi squad.

Update:

Not unexpectedly he was skating in Winnipeg with the taxi squad this morning.
