Winnipeg Jets recall Parker Ford from the Moose as he joins the taxi squad

The Jets announced they have recalled Parker Ford from the Moose. Before anyone thinks this is a sign that Ford is going to be a player in Game 1 of the second round series between Winnipeg and Dallas probably best to hold those horses. His last game was with the Moose back on February 16th.

Ford made his NHL debut this season (including scoring his first NHL goal that game) and when reassigned to the Moose got injured and required surgery. There was some hope from the Moose coaching staff at the end of March he could get in a game or two with Manitoba but that didn’t happen before the AHL season concluded.

He wasn’t on the initial list of players who were recalled by the Jets likely because he was still rehabbing. But he’s recently had his cast removed and was slowly working his way back to shooting again.

He was skating with them last week when I was down at hockey for all centre.
