As I expected the Jets have recalled Nic Petan from the Moose. Petan has played much better of late and it was a matter of time before he was going to get his chance to move up to the Jets. Concurrent with bringing Petan up the tean placed Tyler Myers on the injured reserve.
Jets Release:
The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have recalled forward Nic Petan from the Moose. Tyler Myers has been placed on retro-active injured reserve to Oct. 28 with a lower-body injury.
Petan, 21, has played nine games for the Manitoba Moose this season, recording five points (4G, 1A) and four penalty minutes. The Jets selected Petan in the second round, 43rd overall at the 2013 NHL Draft. Last year was Petan’s first pro season, where he had six points (2G, 4A) in 26 games with the Jets to go along with 32 points (9G, 23A) in 47 AHL games with Manitoba.
