Jets Release:
The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have recalled forward John Albert from the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Albert, 25, has played in 51 games with the IceCaps so far this season. In that time, the left-handed centre has recorded 33 points (17G, 16A) and 14 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut with the Jets on Dec. 2/13 against the Rangers where he earned his first NHL goal. The Cleveland, OH native has played in eight career NHL games, all with Winnipeg.
He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round, 175th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
