Winnipeg Jets recall Jansen Harkins from the Moose on an emergency basis (reassign Ville Heinola to the Moose)

The Jets placed David Gustafsson on injured reserve on Thursday in order to activate Saku Maenalanen from IR which wouldn’t have been needed but Morgan Barron was sick so they needed the Finnish winger to have 12 available forwards.

Perhaps there is more illness going through the room as the team announced that they have recalled Jansen Harkins from the Moose on an emergency basis.

Harkins has delivered when sent down to the AHL this season. He has two goals (an OT winner as well as this beauty on the breakaway) and one assist in the three games since he was reassigned to Manitoba in early January and overall has seven goals and five assists in nine games this season with the Moose.

In 22 games with Winnipeg this season he has three goals and two assists.

To make room for Harkins they have reassigned Ville Heinola to the Moose.
