Winnipeg Jets recall goalie Eric Comrie from the Manitoba Moose

This morning the Jets announced they had recalled Eric Comrie from the Manitoba Moose.  Backup netminder Laurent Brossoit pulled himself from the game last night in Vegas and following the contest Head Coach Paul Maurice indicated Brossoit was dealing with a lower-body issue.  With the Jets traveling today we won’t have an update on Brossoit until morning skate tomorrow morning.

Eric Comrie has been having an excellent season in the AHL and while his Goals Against Average (22nd) and Save Percentage (10th) have dipped of late he continues to face the most shots in the league (by quite a bit) and as a result of his 23-16-4-2 record in net has positioned his Manitoba squad within striking distance of a playoff spot.  That’s fairly remarkable when you consider the differential in goals for the Moose is Minus-29.
