Winnipeg Jets recall Brandon Tanev from the Moose on an emergency basis

With the Jets set to depart for California and sitting without a 13th forward they have recalled Brandon Tanev back up to the big club for the road trip.

It was expected the Jets would make some move prior to departure today with the Moose signing two forwards yesterday. (one to replace whomever got called up and presumably one to replace Quinton Howden who may be lost for some time).

In his last seven games he has two goals and one assist.  Overall he has three goals and six assists in 23 games for Manitoba this season.

The only other player I thought may get the call would have been Chase De Leo but I’m guessing the Jets felt it was better he play big minutes for their farm club than either sitting in the press box or playing limited game action with them.
