Winnipeg Jets recall Andrew Copp from Moose; Place Shawn Matthias on IR

Not a surprise to me as I expected Copp to be the next Moose player to get the call up by the Jets when they needed another body. Following the 1st period injury to Shawn Matthias last night the Jets made the call to Copp for the upcoming three game road trip.

Before the Jets left for Washington the players and bench boss spoke at the IcePlex. Coach Maurice indicated that Shawn Matthias is “we look at his injury the same as Bryan Little. It is going to be some time”.
