Winnipeg Jets reassign Ville Heinola to the Manitoba Moose

With defenceman Neal Pionk on the shelf due to suspension and being in concussion protocol the Jets recalled 2019 1st rounder Ville Heinola from the Moose for their two-game road trip out west this past week.

He didn’t get into either of the games in Seattle or Vancouver although he did dress for warm-up in the game against the Canucks on Friday.

The move could simply be cap management.

Could also mean Neal Pionk is ready to return which means they’ll want Heinola playing games for Manitoba, who are set to head out on the road on Wednesday.

Monday should prove to be an informative day in Jetsland.

If you are curious about Heinola’s development check out these comments from Moose assistant coach Eric Dubois.
