Winnipeg Jets reassign three players to the Moose in order to maintain AHL playoff eligibility

Jeff Malott is coming off playing his first game in the NHL last night when the Jets took on the Hawks in Chicago while Ville Heinola has been up with the team but hasn’t played for Winnipeg since February 14th despite some recalls. Kristian Reichel, who is on LTIR after blocking a shot in a game against the Flames back on February 21st, was also reassigned.

Unfortunately no Cole Perfetti for the Moose run as he wasn’t part of that reassignment.

In order to be eligible to play in the AHL playoffs players on NHL rosters had to be assigned to the AHL club today. These could simply be paper transactions.
