Winnipeg Jets reassign prospect Brad Lambert to Seattle of WHL after World Juniors

Team Finland had a disappointing World Juniors Tournament in Halifax as they were eliminated by their arch-rivals Sweden in the quarterfinals. Jets 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert had a quiet tournament supplying his team with just one goal in five games.

Today the Jets announced that they have assigned Lambert to the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL who possess his junior rights. Seattle is a top team in the Western Conference who are coincidentally playing the Ice in Winnipeg this week.

In 14 games for Manitoba he had two goals and one assist as he adjusted to playing in North America as a pro for the first time in his young career.

With Seattle he will have a chance to gain a lot of confidence for when he re-joins the Moose whenever his WHL season concludes and then potentially use that as a springboard for a big summer of training.
