Winnipeg Jets reassign Kristian Vesalainen to the Moose

The Moose are set to get loose against the Wild tonight in Iowa and they are getting a lineup boost with the news today that the Jets have reassigned 2017 1st rounder Kristian Vesalainen to Manitoba.

In 53 games for Winnipeg this season he has two goals and one assist. He’s also played three games for Manitoba and has one goal.

The move makes sense if the Jets decide to sit Copp out of the game tomorrow night with the Hawks for “asset management”. With Vesalainen down it means the Jets could recall a pair of forwards from the Moose and be within the salary cap.
