Winnipeg Jets reassign draft pick Dmitry Kuzmin to the Moose from Firebirds (OHL)

As junior hockey playoffs starts to conclude it will be an opportunity for some Jets draft picks to gain some pro experience. The Jets announced that they have assigned left-shot defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin (2021 3rd rounder) to the Moose. He was actually the first prospect from the Jets 2021 draft to sign his three-year ELC with Winnipeg.

He has spent the past two seasons in the OHL with the Firebirds. He saw his playoffs come to an end after they lost game 7 to Saginaw although he did have two assists on the three goals his club scored. In total the offensively minded defenceman had one goal (a game-winner) and seven assists for eight points in seven games for Flint.

He joins a Moose club already deep on the left side.
