Winnipeg Jets reassign Artemi Kniazev to the Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod (KHL)

In fairly unsurprising news the Jets announced today that they have reassigned Artemi Kniazev to the Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod (KHL).

They got Kniazev as part of a trade with the Sharks when they dealt RFA Leon Gawanke who had chosen to sign in the DEL instead of signing with Winnipeg.

Kniazev was a 2nd rounder from 2019 who was billed as an offensive defenceman.

Unfortunately for him and the Moose, where he spent this season, that never really materialized (5A in 20 games) and he was often a defensive liability.
