Winnipeg Jets re-assign Logan Stanley to the Manitoba Moose

After re-assigning Michael Spacek on Monday to get down to 26 the Jets needed to make another roster move today to get compliant ahead of the start of the 2018-19 season.  With Nic Petan expected to be placed on the equivalent of a bereavement list as a result of his father’s passing, the Jets have to reduce their roster by two players today.  The first move made this morning was re-assigning defenceman Logan Stanley to the Manitoba Moose.  For right now the Jets are at 25 players (with Petan) on the roster.

Stanley was expected to start with Manitoba so that should come as no surprise as he begins his pro career.  He will have an opportunity to play big minutes in the AHL.

The final move has to be made before 4 pm CST.  My expectation is it will be either Brendan Lemieux or Tucker Poolman (and if I had to guess I suspect it would be the latter player) as the final cut of training camp.
