Winnipeg Jets punch tickets to the playoffs with 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames

Courtesy of the first career hat trick of Gabriel Vilardi the Jets have punched their ticket to the playoffs for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats click here to see the results from the game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

Flames were out for some blood it would appear as Martin Pospisil hit Josh Morrissey with a check to the head which got him a five-minute major and game misconduct and likely a call from Player Safety. And then Kevin Rooney hit Adam Lowry (feet away from the ref) right in the face and there was no call.

Gabriel Vilardi picked up his first hat trick of his career. That was the fifth hat trick of the season for the Jets.

Multipoint Game:

Gabriel Vilardi 3G
Nikolaj Ehlers 1G 1A
Josh Morrissey 2A
