It has been a banner season for Jets 2018 3rd rounder Nathan Smith as the Tampa, Florida product is rolling in his junior year at the Minnesota State U – Mankato. His Mavericks team is 20-4-0 this season which ranks them in top spot in NCAA hockey rankings.

Like his club Smith is having an excellent season with 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 22 games which is good enough for top spot in NCAA scoring.

Some of his goals this season: Oct 4 | Oct 8 | Oct 16 | Nov 6 | Nov 22| Dec 3 | Dec 4 | Jan 7 | Jan 8 |

And now he can add Olympian to his resume as he has been named to Team USA for the 2022 Beijing Olympics. According to a Release from Minnesota State Smith is just the second Maverick to play hockey in a Winter Olympics. Recently retired NHLer David Backes being the other.
