Winnipeg Jets prospect Elias Salomonsson remains in concussion protocol

Last week in Dallas, Jets prospect Elias Salomonsson was on the receiving end of a Jason Robertson reverse hit that knocked him from the game. Afterward, head coach Scott Arniel said Salomonsson had entered concussion protocol.

He did not play in Columbus over the weekend as the Jets wrapped up their road trip and was again absent from morning skate today in Winnipeg as the club prepares to face the Kraken.

Following the skate, Arniel was asked for an update and said, “He is still in protocol. A little better today than yesterday.” He also indicated he isn’t skating.

It’s been a good season for the Swedish defender who has played 32 games for Winnipeg including scoring his first NHL goal. He also has four assists on the season.
