No surprise for those of us watching the Moose and the rise of Jets 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert who currently leads the team in scoring that the impact of the Winnipeg draft pick is significant. The AHL recognized him as the AHL Rookie of the Month for March.
From the AHL:
Lambert, 20, was third in the AHL with 18 points (4G, 14A) in 13 games while helping the Moose to a 10-3-1 record in March. Lambert’s 14 assists led the AHL this month, with eight of those helpers logged as the primary assist. The Lahti, Finland product recorded 14 (4G, 10A) of his 18 points at even strength and finished the month with a plus-four rating.
He’s been quite impactful (as a centre) on the farm club of the Jets.
As per the team he’s the fifth player to be named AHL rookie of the month:
He joins Cole Perfetti (April 2021), Brenden Kichton (Jan. 2014), Cory Schneider (March 2008) and Kevin Bieksa (March 2005).
Quite the milestone for the 30th overall pick. And all these points in March have skyrocketed him up the All-Time list for the Manitoba Moose for rookies. He is currently 4th in points among rookies and 6th on the assists list.
