The sixth and final exhibition game of the pre-season is here with the Jets welcoming the Senators to town. For Winnipeg this is set to be a mostly veteran group of players for the first time during the pre-season.
The Jets released the roster on Wednesday in the late afternoon which didn’t contain Nikolaj Ehlers although it is likely he will advise the bench boss of Winnipeg Rick Bowness whether he can or cannot play and then the team will solidify the roster.
For now that roster is made up of:
Forwards (16): Vlad Namestnikov, Alex Iafallo, Gabriel Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari, Adam Lowry, David Gustafsson, Mason Appleton, Morgan Barron, Mark Scheifele, Nino Niederreiter, Kyle Connor and Cole Perfetti.
Defence (9): Dylan DeMelo, Neal Pionk, Brenden Dillon, Ville Heinola, Josh Morrissey and Dylan Samberg.
Goalies (2): Connor Hellebuyck and Collin Delia.
The projected lineup looks as follows although it currently still has Nikolaj Ehlers skating on the second line as he was yesterday. We will have to wait and see how things pan out. For now here is the projected lineup:
Update: No Nikolaj Ehlers at morning skate. The lines have been amended to reflect today’s morning skate at hockey for all centre.
Connor – Scheifele – Vilardi
Iafallo – Perefetti – Niederreiter
Barron – Lowry – Appleton
Gustafsson – Kupari – Namestnikov
Morrissey – DeMelo
Samberg – Pionk
Dillon – Heinola
Hellebuyck
Delia
Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT. The game will be on TSN 3.
