The Jets kicked off pre-season action last night in Edmonton where they defeated the Oilers by a score of 2-1 via a shootout. Dominic Toninato scored the only regulation goal, Collin Delia was excellent in net and Cole Perfetti scored a silky smooth shootout winner. See the game recap here.
Today that group that played last night becomes the non-playing group who will skate at noon.
We’ve learned the playing group will be made up as follows:
Forwards (12): Vladislav Namestnikov, Gabriel Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari, David Gustafsson, Jeffrey Viel, Morgan Barron, Daniel Torgersson, Chaz Lucius, Mark Scheifele, Parker Ford, Kyle Connor, Kristian Reichel.
Defence (6): Neal Pionk, Josh Morrissey, Dylan Samberg, Elias Salomonsson, Logan Stanley, Kyle Capobianco.
Goalies (2): Laurent Brossoit and Domenic DiVincetiis.
Now based on how things have looked at training camp to date it would seem likely they will run as follows:
Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi
Barron-Kupari-Namestnikov
Viel-Gustafsson-Ford
Torgersson-Lucius-Reichel
Morrissey-Salomonsson
Samberg-Pionk
Stanley-Capobianco
