The Jets are getting ready to face the Wild tonight and here are some of their thoughts prior to the game.
Bryan Little – What will it mean to have a rivalry with a team like the Wild? What does he focus on in pre-season? Have the systems changed this season? Facing off against new teams. Has it started already?
Andrew Ladd – Importance of having a close team (travel) and building a rivalry. Is his line looking to work on anything tonight? Importance of exerting will on the Wild? The rivalry part doesn’t factor in yet? Is he looking forward to seeing new teams? Challenges with not having familiarity.
Matt Halischuk – How does he approach things? Is it fair to assess his game based on his past with Devils/Predators? Explanation of being a good checking team. Does he notice pace increasing as pre-season progresses. Is he in group that has choice to take games off? How much pressure is he feeling? Does he have a sense of where he is at?
Mark Scheifele – Playing with new linemates. Is he playing centre? Getting more comfortable playing games. Adjustment from junior to the pros. Being more responsible defensively. What does he have to do to earn trust? Being patient defensively provides opportunities offensively? Did his first pre-season (and all those points) creating high expectations? Where does he feel he is at? A pre-season beard?
Devin Setoguchi – Hear from any Wild players? Still close with some of the guys? Shuffling the lines at practice. His thoughts on playing the Wild a bunch of time this year. Is pre-season heating up yet?
