Jets hit the ice for a practice in Buffalo today as they get ready to finish off their three game road trip against the Sabres on Saturday afternoon.  Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun confirmed they used the “same line combinations and D pairings” that we saw in Florida:

Perreault-Little-Wheeler
Ehlers-Scheifele-Laine
Matthias-Lowry-Armia
Copp-Petan-Stafford

Morrissey-Byfuglien
Enstrom-Trouba
Chiarot-Postma

Hellebuyck
Hutchinson

Audio:

Blake Wheeler:  How he feels about the team at the mid way point.  Common denominator in the two games in Florida?  Playing with speed.  Getting to the team identity.  What did he like about today’s practice?  What has impressed him about the play of the young guys?  Challenge to the team to raise their play in the second half.

Nic Petan:  How does the club look as they get ready to finish off this road trip?  What did he like about the way the Jets played in Florida?  On using their speed.  On tomorrow being a “must win”.

Coach Maurice:  Did he like what he saw out on the ice?  Finding their identity.  On the Jets finding another level.  Will Hellebuyck start tomorrow?  Laine’s spot on the power play.  On the age makeup of the power play units.  On Byfuglien and Laine dynamic on PP.  How impressed is he by Josh Morrissey’s first half?  Rare to have a rookie play that 1st pairing role.  On Chiarot.  On the Jets not winning three games in a row.
