Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

The Jets hit the ice in Tampa for a skate as they get ready to face the Lighting tomorrow night. The big news of the day is Alexander Burmistrov being claimed by the Arizona Coyotes but there was other topics touched on following practice.

Coach Maurice: Initial thoughts on Burmistrov being claimed. Thoughts on how the team moved today in practice. How involved is he in goalie decisions? When chasing .500 mark how important is it to not look at the standings? Was he disappointed in Burmistrov’s play? Is it tough to ask players from outside North America to play a bottom six role? Is there a disadvantage to Hutchinson/Hellebuyck to not having a veteran goalie to learn from? Does he factor that into his evaluation? Any update on Tyler Myers? On facing Tampa.
