The Jets left for Washington today following a tough home loss to these same Capitals they will be facing on Thursday in the U.S. capital.  Originally they were scheduled to hit the ice but instead they spoke to the media.

Players audio:

Andrew Copp:  How does it feel to be back?  Difference between the hockey at the NHL and AHL level.  What has he noticed about the Jets?  Does he know where he draws in?  Getting extra minutes with the Moose.  Does he think that going to Moose was good for his long term potential.  What was the biggest mental challenge?  Getting back to the NHL level.  Balance to strike between doing what is right and trying to ensure you stick around?

Ben Chiarot:  Building on last night and putting it behind them.  How does he manage the disappointment?  Shows how difficult it is to play a team like the Capitals.  How did they produce so much offence against Washington?  How conscious is he joining the rush.  Getting Melchiori into the group of six.

Coach audio:

Paul Maurice:  What is it like to have depth to call up someone like Copp? Getting younger by subtraction.  Injury updates (Matthias, Myers, Stafford).  How specific is his usage of Copp for this week?  What did he think of Melchiori and Chiarot?  Why doesn’t he have Patrik Laine on the first power play unit?  Does he like the balance of shot generation with quality scoring chances?  Stuart status.  On Adam Lowry taking responsibility.
