The Jets rolled over the Kraken last night which gave them win in two straight games and got Winnipeg to the 80 point mark. While normally this would be cause for celebration the Sharks (who have a game in hand) won in regulation last night getting to 81 points while the Predators and Kings went to a shootout which L.A. won and which means they are up to 83 points while Nashville has 82.
We did learn yesterday that Morgan Barron has been listed as week-to-week after suffering a lower-body injury on Saturday while Elias Salomonsson is still not skating, as he remains in concussion protocol.
Skate news:
It was a heavily, and I mean heavily, optional skate today as just three skaters and a goalie took part including Cole Koepke, Ville Heinola and Colin Miller (yellow, non-contact uniform) as well as Eric Comrie.
