The Jets have presumably enjoyed some rest and relaxation the last few days as they’ve enjoyed the Christmas break as the top team in the NHL with an 25-10-1 record. Before the break they defeated the Wild 5-0 and then the Leafs 5-2 although they did lose defenceman Haydn Fleury to a lower-body injury during the game in Toronto. He was listed as day-to-day by head coach Scott Arniel.
The team had also been without defenceman Logan Stanley who was expected to miss both the game against Minnesota and Toronto after he blocked a shot in the game against Anaheim.
While defenceman Dylan Samberg, who has been recovering from a broken foot suffered back on November 23rd, was expected to skate yesterday he is likely still projected to return after the new year although perhaps we will get an update from the Jets bench boss after skate.
If either of the first two Dmen are not skating today at hockey for all centre the team would likely make a recall from the Moose who are expected to be returning to Manitoba today after having the week off for Christmas holidays.
Pre-skate news:
The Jets announced before skate got underway that they had recalled Dylan Coghlan from the AHL.
The official team account tweeted out that Dylan Samberg was skating on his own.
Skate news:
According to Mitchell Clinton of the Jets on the ice for skate is Logan Stanley. He also indicated that Haydn Fleury is not skating.

Health news:
Head coach Scott Arniel confirmed that Haydn Fleury is out week-to-week. He also didn’t have much of an update on Dylan Samberg aside from the fact he’s back on the ice and they’ll be evaluating him to see how he is being back on the ice.
