It was a busy Monday in Winnipeg as the Jets roster came together with a trio of prospects being assigned to the Moose in order to get them down to a 23-man roster. The big question mark for today is whether Connor Hellebuyck has returned from dealing with his personal family matter although Winnipeg head coach Scott Arniel did say yesterday that it was uncertain if he’d be practicing with the team but the expectation was he’d be on the plane with them to Edmonton later in the day.
Skate news:
Once again no Connor Hellebuyck for practice today. No changes to the lines or D pairs from yesterday.
Hellebuyck update:
Head coach Scott Arniel confirmed that Connor Hellebuyck will be jumping on the ice for a quick workout with goalie coach Wade Flaherty and will be joining the team on the road trip to Edmonton. He came on with Flaherty as well as two Moose players (Dominic Toninato & AJF) who are not playing in the Manitoba game tonight for a 40 minute workout.
Three goalies:
The Jets bench boss also confirmed that they will be carrying three goalies for at least a few more days. “We’ll get through this game in Edmonton. Come home and then we’ll readdress where we are at.”
Lines and D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi
Perfetti-Namestnikov-Ehlers
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Kupari-Iafallo
Extra: Gustafsson
Morrissey-DeMelo
Samberg-Pionk

Unexpected recall:
Well after skated ended the Jets announced that they recalled Jaret Anderson-Dolan from the Moose and placed him on injured reserve (retro to Oct 2nd). This ones a puzzler unless he maybe was dealing with something before being assigned and that necessitated a recall.
